It’s not easy out there right now. The acknowledgement of this, after a series of “no win” situations is what drove me to check my own chart, which is when I noticed I was working with a difficult Saturn transit: The transiting Sun was was squaring my Saturn. A closer look showed me that the transiting Sun was also squaring the transiting Saturn, so a double whammy of Saturn was in store. Oh, and this is also an aspect featured in my own natal chart: I was born with a tight Sun square Saturn aspect. Fun times. (I share more here.)
Learning to dance with Saturn is an attunement. Saturn asks us what we’re made of, it asks us to dig our heels in, stick it out and put in the hard work. For what? you may wonder. What is the payout here? Interestingly enough, we usually can’t know this with Saturn transits, and often it feels like a continuous struggle that may never end. But Saturn asks us to pay our due diligence, give our all, show up for the job we signed up for and see it through. Saturn (especially in Pisces) can also show us where we need to shore up our boundaries. Often there is a reward or payout, but ultimately, a Saturn attunement process can feel grueling, cruel and ungratified.
Not much can slip beyond our radar this week, as both the Sun and Mars sextile Pluto. Once seemingly subtle nuances of manipulation or falsity will be immediately detected and urge us to reclaim our power. This happens under the Pisces moon, further fine-tuning our intuition. We’ll move into the heavier energies later this week empowered by these truths, which will be much needed as we dive into our Saturn work of fine-tune our integrity and grit.
