Libra Solar Eclipse

Reset...Release...Transform

The October 14th Solar Eclipse in Libra is an annular solar eclipse. Because the sun will not be completely covered by the moon, revealing a “ring of fire” in places in the Western Hemisphere where the eclipse will be visible, the term “annular” is given to this form of a solar eclipse. “Annular” means “ring-shaped.”

The eclipse will be visible to many in parts of the United States, Mexico, and many countries in South and Central America. It is said that the areas where the eclipse is visible will be affected the most by the energies of the eclipse.

During the eclipse, the sun and moon will be exact at 21 degrees of Libra. Mercury will also be close by in Libra as well. The ruler of the chart, Venus, will also rule the October 28th Lunar Eclipse in Taurus. So we are working closely with Venus themes around relationships, finances, and our values.

The last time we had a solar eclipse at 21 degrees of Libra was in 2003. You can think back to this time and consider if there are any themes between then and now.

The important aspects, which I discuss in my video, involve the square between the Sun and Moon and Pluto, bringing up themes around power and control in regards to relationships and ways we may have given our power away. The eclipse is an invitation to call back this power to ourselves. Where do you need to call back your power at this time?

Mercury forms an exact opposition to Chiron at the time of the eclipse, drawing in the energy of the wound and potential for healing what may come up around limitations or constraints regarding our self-expression. What might you need to say or speak your mind about at this time?

Chart ruler, Venus, and Mars are sextile at the time of the eclipse, bonding over a shared interest in the minutiae, lighting up our ability to access authentic truth in a time when we may very well be inundated with false truths. Our intuition runs strong for the remainder of October when all planets are in feminine energies, and we should tune in to our inner knowing. What is your truth at this time?
