Venus makes an “inferior connection” with the sun TODAY: August 13th! That’s a Venus Cazami!

As Venus has a secret kiss with the sun, she will appear to pass between the Earth and the Sun, moving into the morning sky where she will be observable again (she’s currently invisible) starting August 19th. Venus is closest to the earth during this time. Due to her proximity, we can really feel her retrograde energies as she calls us to reflect upon important relationship themes before we emerge with her in the new Leo Venus Star cycle.

Why am I talking so much about Venus for this New Moon in Leo update? Because if you look at the image of the chart below, you’ll see that Venus is conjunct (next to) the sun and moon. Another reason is that concomitant with this new moon, we are experiencing the end of the Capricorn Venus Phase and the start of the Leo Venus Phase. The process going down this week is pretty deep and reflective, and is bound to impact us here on earth…if you aren’t already noticing things coming up around relationships, that is. As astrologer Heather Ensworth shares, Venus is currently in her underworld journey and this phase is bringing us face to face with parts of ourselves we have repressed. These too may surface at this time so that we can emerge, on the other side of this cycle when the Leo Phase starts (August 21st) in full Leo regality and ready to shine! While in this underworld phase, we are retrieving parts of ourselves we’ve lost touch with, much the same as Goddess Inanna does when she departs into the underworld.
